| Responsibilities |
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Administer athletic training services including prevention, testing, evaluation, treatment of injuries, rehabilitation, and medical referrals according to the protocols and standing orders developed by the Team Physicians and Head Athletic Trainer.
-Communicate and collaborate with the Sports Medicine Team regarding the status of student-athletes’ injuries and recommendations.
-Analyze injury trends to make recommendations for injury prevention techniques.
-Document all athletic health care activities with appropriate medical record keeping methods.
-Educate student-athletes on general health habits that will assist in injury prevention and overall well-being.
-Serves as liaison and coordinates sports medicine care with visiting team sports medicine staff, as well as sports medicine staff when University teams travel for competition
-Assist with the organization and administration of all pre-participation physicals with physicians; coordinate medical clearance and eligibility for practice and competition
-Provide medical coverage for home and away athletic events, as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
-Assistance with institutional and NCAA Drug Testing Procedures as requested by the Head Athletic Trainer.
-Maintenance and upkeep of the athletic training room as a medical facility and other sites as designated
-Assist other athletic training staff with facility supervision and operation
-Assist with supply and equipment inventory.
-Assist with maintenance and repair of exercise equipment and therapeutic modalities
-Provide advanced knowledge and clinical skills instruction appropriate for Interns.
-Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, GLVC, and Lewis University policies
Additionally, the Senior Athletic Trainer will also provide nutrition oversight, acting as preceptor for student interns, developing injury prevention programs for assigned teams, assisting in the development of protocols and best practice processes.

| Minimum Qualifications |
-Bachelor’s degree
-NATABOC Certified in good standing
-CPR/AED, and first aid certification.
-Knowledge of, and ability to apply NCAA rules as relevant to the position
