Purpose: Responsible for the Marketing and Promotion of Mount St. Joseph University through the avenue of athletics.

• Primary sport contact for multiple sports across seasons
• Ensure the successful live stream coverage of MSJ home athletic events
• Aid in management of MSJLions.com to include roster updates, schedule changes, posting of recaps and previews and statistical management.
• Responsible for in-game statistics for sports as deemed necessary by Sports Information Manger
• Gameday press box and sports information management, to include helping with student and contract workers, who ensure the game runs as it should
• Manage Mount St. Joseph athletics social media channels including twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Communicate with NCAA and opposing institutions concerning games, rosters, and results.
• Communicate with MSJ coaching staffs to meet as many of their needs as possible
• Promote student-athletes for weekly and yearly awards both in the HCAC and nationally
• Contribute to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements: exploring new opportunities in the services of the department of athletics; while helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed
• Other duties as assigned

Primary Contacts:

Department Director, Associate Director, coaching staff, Athletic Training staff, Recreation Coordinators, Coordinators of Athletic and Recreation Facilities, Secretary, student employees, Student Development staff, Admission staff, prospective students and families, enrolled students, Registrar, Faculty Athletic Representative, and other members of the University community as well as the local and outside community.

Supervision Received:

Works toward a previously defined objective and uses a wide range of procedures exercising discretion and judgment: consulting and referring to the Director of Athletics and Sports Information Manger as appropriate

Qualifications

Education:

High School Degree

Some College Credit

Experience:

Experience working in or around athletics, coaching etc.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

- Standing or sitting in one position for long periods; computer data input; multiple concurrent tasks with constant service interruptions; high-level customer contact; strict confidentiality; detailed work; operating all equipment required for job.
