Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Sports Information Coordinator is responsible for all NCAA statistical information and reporting, coordinates website and social media, supervises live stream and video production, and assists in Game Day management and promotions. As a member of the senior athletics administrative staff, the Sports Information Coordinator helps ensure that the success of the athletic department, programs, and student-athletes; as well as supporting the wider mission and goals of the University.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Sports Information Coordinator is responsible for all NCAA statistical information and reporting, coordinates website and social media, supervises live stream and video production, and assists in Game Day management and promotions. As a member of the senior athletics administrative staff, the Sports Information Coordinator helps ensure that the success of the athletic department, programs, and student-athletes; as well as supporting the wider mission and goals of the University.
Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure the athletic department, programs and student-athletes follow all applicable NCAA, SCAC, other sanctioning body and University rules and regulations.
Statistics and reporting for all NCAA/Varsity programs.
Athletic liaison to the SCAC/SLIAC conference for reporting and statistics.
Update and maintain the website and coordinate all aspects of social media for the department.
Promote the athletics programs through website and social media as well as University marketing liaison.
Oversee the live stream and video production of all athletic contests.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee facilitator along with select head coaches.
Supervise student workers.
Development of the Schreiner Sports Network and content.
Member of the athletic department management team.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Maintain University Safety – to ensure that all filing cabinet drawers are shut when not in use, cords are not across floor without being securely fastened down, all walkways remain clear in the office and hallway with no items hanging off edges or coming out from under tables, and chairs are placed in unobtrusive areas. Other safety features for basketball program.
Communications – Acts to facilitate good communications between employees, students, parents, and management through interpersonal and professional communication techniques.
Confidentiality – maintains the highest level of confidence concerning all matters in the Athletic Department. Does not discuss in any manner any information obtained through work.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Weekend and holiday work schedule when necessary.
Occasional overtime work required during season and post season play.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, not required)
Ability to relate to coaching staff.
Ability to relate to young adults.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as university team member.
Proficiency in use of social media, editing software and overall computer literacy.
