Point University is a private liberal arts institution that educates our students within a Christian
worldview so they are equipped to take their faith into the marketplace and all of life while achieving their
professional goals. We are training the next generation of Christian leaders to take the cross to more job
sites, churches, industries, and nations than ever before.
The SID is responsible for leading efforts to market, promote and document Point University athletic
programs.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities include, but are not limited to:
• Marketing and promoting athletic programs via all media forms including radio, print, television,
social networking sites including but not limited to; publications development, press releases,
media coordination, and web page creation and site maintenance.
• Managing and overseeing all game day activities for all sporting events.
• Managing athletic contest statistics using various programs and software

Completing reports and nominations required by the SSAC, AAC, Sun Conference, NAIA, and
University.
Providing administrative support to the Athletics Department.
Coordinating NAIA Champions of Character
Serve as a Christian role model for students, parents, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni and
community members
•

• Represent the University in a positive manner to administrators, faculty, staff, prospective and
current students, parents, community members, and visitors through Christian
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Broad knowledge of collegiate sports
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Presto software
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes nights and weekends

• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal behaviors and be committed to effective collaboration
with colleagues
• Good driving record with the ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Requirements:
• Master’s degree
•
Two (2) years of experience working with collegiate athletics in a similar position
