Job Summary

The selected candidate is in charge of the exchange of all sports-related information with other institutions, the HBCU Athletic Conference and the NAIA. Also serves as a conduit of local and national media regarding Wilberforce University Athletics.

Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares and writes game recaps/feature stories, creates graphics for social media usage and records statistics during each home event for all Wilberforce University teams.
Travel is required.
Assist in the streaming of all home events through creation of broadcast graphics.
Report statistics to the NAIA.
Visiting institutions and other applicable organizations.
Develop/build create and maintain archive statistics for assigned Wilberforce University sports teams.
Provide assistance in the training, guidance, supervision and evaluation to assigned game day staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with/knowledge of statistical software graphic design experience with
Needs a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign). preferred, interpersonal skills and commitment to total success of students, ability to multitask.
Must be able to demonstrate evidence of successful experience in a collegiate athletic communications office or related field.
Needs to have a proven track record of using and possessing effective communication skills in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
A strong attention to detail is a must.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required in related fields, but a master’s degree is preferred.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience and skills with video creation/editing.
Ability to travel as required.
