GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Staff Associate for Women’s Recruiting and Academic Retention Coordinator at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting talented female athletes to the institution's athletic programs, while providing support to ensure their academic success and overall well-being. This position requires a unique blend of skills related to athletics, education, and student support. The Women’s Recruiting and Academic Retention Coordinator will:
Collaborate with academic advisors and faculty to address academic concerns and promote success.
Collaborate with the Event Management department to coordinate athletic camps on campus.
Attend home game day events and perform event management duties as directed.
Fulfill all other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Serve as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the provisions of the Clery Act.
Ability and willingness to travel to locations inside and outside of New England for recruiting visits.
Ability to clearly communicate and display data on recruiting activities in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
This position will not hold additional coaching responsibilities on campus.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate athletic events and recruiting efforts.
$60,000 to $63,000 The Academy offers generous benefits policies and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt under the FLSA.
