Baker University seeks qualified applicants for a part-time (<25 hrs/wk) Strength and Conditioning Coach in the Department of Athletics at the Baldwin City, Kansas, campus. The position will report directly to the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with football and the opportunity to lead two to four teams to be determined upon hire. Hours will vary and will include early mornings and late evenings. Other responsibilities include daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, interns, etc. The compensation will be $10,000 to be split between the fall and spring semesters, gear, 20 meals in school cafeteria, valuable hands-on coaching experience in all aspects, as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of strength and conditioning.
Job Requirements
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field. CPR, first aid, and AED certification required. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.
Preferred qualifications: Certification as a strength and conditioning coach (CSCCa, CSCS, or NSCA) or must be able to obtain within six months of hire.
