Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Athletics Department. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring continual office coverage at the front desk.

Summary of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Answer in-person and phone inquiries
• Recording details about who and what questions are asked.
• Check to make sure information is formatted correctly
• Enter new information
• Keep the database up to date, including inputting notes from meetings held by the director and the consulting GA.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current UVU student.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

• Knowledge and experience working in an office environment.
• Use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and databases.
• Word processing and/or data entry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimal supervision.
• Follow specific verbal and written procedures and instructions.
• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse population, as well as demonstrating interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and reliability.
