Job Summary

 

The Student Assistant will support the Athletic Equipment Operations as an Athletic Equipment Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024. In this position the Student Assistant will work under general supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Operations, and Assistant Equipment Managers in a fast paced, high-energy environment with the day to day operations of an athletics equipment room.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

 

• Assist with receiving, inventorying, distributing, and retrieving all materials for staff and athletes as assigned by the Director & Assistant Equipment Manager 
• Work practices and work directly with a position coach or coaches 
• Performs laundry
• Assists with the packing for team travel, setting up locker rooms, and cleaning of equipment 
• Provides customer service

Shift Specifics

• Up to 15 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• May require work on evenings and weekends.
• May require work on holidays.

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

 

$7.25 per hour
