Student Athletic Trainer - Student Employment

Summary

The Student Athletic Trainer will assist the certified athletic trainer in providing quality healthcare services to student-athletes. The Student Athletic Trainer will contribute with the management of sports injuries, managing practice and competition setups, and administering basic first aid. This role is a hands-on learning position for individuals exploring careers in sports medicine, physical therapy, or healthcare. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer.

• Set-up field with necessary medical equipment and supplies

• Restocking of medical supplies in both athletic training rooms

• Athlete practice and game coverage preparation including set-up, taping and bracing, stretching, and the administration of therapeutic modalities

• Assist with the inventory of both athletic training facilities

• Assist with the rehabilitation programs of student-athletes

• Assist with the data entry / filing systems of injury tracking programs

Qualifications

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
