Student - Team Willy Manager

Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a student who can make appearances at UVU sporting events, UVU campus events, and community events as both a Team Willy Handler or as a Team Willy Mascot Performer.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the storage and organization of all Team Willy equipment.
• Serve as a key resource to department staff on a wide variety of Mascot needs.
• Continuously assess marketing strategies and apply industry practices for mascot engagement while staying up-to-date on industry trends and ensuring that UVU remains at the forefront of the mascot landscape.
• Perform other marketing and promotions-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Two or more years of work experience in mascot management, marketing, or another related field.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Two or more years of work experience in mascot management, marketing, or another related field.
• Must be able to attend Mandatory Staff Meeting on Monday & Wednesday from 9:00 am – 9:50 am.
• Office hours will be scheduled during regular business hours (8 am – 6 pm) and will be set by the direct supervisor.
• Work on weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible shifts.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all conditions.

• Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Utah Valley University colleagues, sports teams, and external organizations.
• Subject to and expected to comply with all applicable University policies and procedures.
