Job Description:

_ To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current student enrolled at McDaniel College. This position is open to both work study and campus employment students. _

Position: Varsity Athletics Team Manager,Men's Wrestling

Revision Dates: 08/20224

Reports to: HeadMen's and Women's Wrestling Coach

Department: Athletics

Salary Grade: Maryland Minimum wage

FSLA Status: Non-exempt

Location of Position: Gill Center, 2 College Hill, McDaniel College, Westminster, MD, 21157

Duration of Appointment: 9/3/2024-5/21/2025 (including Jan Term)

Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor

Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuing basis

Scope: Provide support for assigned Varsity team during practices, games and events.

Responsibilities:

• Attend practice and assist coaches with any items necessary
• Assist with equipment hand out
• Travel to away contests
• Keep scorebook duringmatches/tournaments
• Assist with Social Medias

Schedule:

• 15hours max a week, must have availability from 4-7 or 8-11 depending on schedule, must be available on weekends
• Must be able to attend away contests
• Must be available during January Term

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Current student at McDaniel with work study
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Knowledge of the rules of assigned sport
• Discretion and reliability in sensitive and confidential matters are vital

Physical Characteristics:

This position requires some physical activity. This position does have some lifting involved but not more than 30 pounds at a time. The overall setting of the job is in the gymnasium.
