Primary job responsibilities will be the delivery of sport-specific strength and conditioning
programs as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports. This role will work with more experienced coaches to design training programs for their assigned student-athletes, focused on reducing the risk of injury and enhancing strength, power, endurance, and movement quality. This will include the supervision of weight room open hours to gain experience working with a range of athletes and programs.

Successful incumbant must be competent in a range of strength, power and speed training movements
and their progression / prescription to achieve priorities within the periodized plan. The role will be responsible for delivering the plans set for their sportwi thin the periodized plan, and learn the process of planning training prescription as part of this process. Undertaking athlete monitoring as a key part of their coaching process in delivery best practice for performance-health management of Notre Dame’s student-athletes. The ability tocommunicate and develop a working relationship with strength coaches, sport coaches andother me mbers of the performance department is a key part of this role. In addition, daily duties such as weight room cleaning and maintenance are expected.
