About this opportunity:
Burris Laboratory School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Temporary Head Coach for our High School Girls Soccer program. This position will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field while fostering a positive, competitive, and team-oriented environment.
Qualifying candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field while fostering a positive, competitive, and team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and conduct effective daily practices and game strategies
Develop student-athletes' technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate program activities
Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations
Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration
Promote academic success and personal growth among athletes
Manage equipment, uniforms, and program logistics
Schedule Expectations:
Practices are held Monday through Friday after 3:00 pm
Game Schedule may include Saturday games and occasional additional events
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior coaching experience (high school or higher preferred)
Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategy, and player development
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must meet all district and state coaching certification requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous head coaching experience
Experience working within a school or youth athletic program
