The University of Miami Football is looking for a temporary On-Campus Student Recruiting Assistant. The Temporary Staff assists the University in meeting its short-term business demands by providing required services for a limited period of time. Additionally, the Temporary Staff facilitates the meeting of goals and deadlines for the assigned division(s) in furtherance of the University’s overall goals and objectives.

The University of Miami Football is looking for a temporary On-Campus Student Recruiting Assistant. The Temporary Staff assists the University in meeting its short-term business demands by providing required services for a limited period of time. Additionally, the Temporary Staff facilitates the meeting of goals and deadlines for the assigned division(s) in furtherance of the University’s overall goals and objectives.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                                     

• Provides clerical, research, professional, administrative or technical support to the staff members of the assigned division.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Meets or exceeds applicable goals and objectives set by managing staff.
• Develops effective working relationships with co-workers and other staff.
• Informs managing staff of any issues encountered in the performance of work functions.
• Completes special projects and assignments in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Leverages skills and abilities for the benefit of the University.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

High School diploma or equivalent

Certification and Licensing:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year or relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid State of Florida driver’s license

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM

Department Specific Functions                               

On-Campus Recruiting Student Job Description:

• The main responsibility of this position is to assist in all on-campus recruiting events and game days. This requires promoting the University and football program to the highest caliber while enhancing the hospitality that prospective student-athletes experience. 

On-Campus Recruiting Student Responsibilities:

• Assist recruiting staff on all home football games
• Assist in mailouts of recruiting graphics and notecards
• Assist in all in season unofficial and official visits (set up, tear down, any preparation)
• Assure that the arms database is continuously updated 
• Assist in organization of recruiting materials and office space 
• Assist in game day, unofficial and official visit materials (credentials, registration preparation, lanyards, etc..)

On-Campus Recruiting Student Expectations:

• Arrive on time and provide elite work ethic
• Stay organized, on task and motivated
• Remain professional at all times, keep relationships with coaches and players strictly professional
• Stay in constant communication with department leadership, specifically Directors within football recruiting
