The Associate Director of Athletics for Game Operations and Athletics Communications is responsible for leadership in the areas of Game Operations, Game-Day Experience, and Athletics Communications for 21 NCAA Intercollegiate Sports at Western New England University. Fostering effective marketing and communication strategies to reach internal and external constituents is an essential function of this position. The incumbent is responsible for producing successful game-day experiences for home and visiting student-athletes, coaches, and spectators at all intercollegiate athletics hosted events.

-Provide staff with vision for content creation, production, and execution of communications and marketing strategies for all athletics programs
-Enhance in-game athletic promotions
-Press and media releases
-Coordinate Student-athlete media interviews
-Broadcasting oversight
-Support Sports Information Director with in-game media, game stories, and game stats coverage
-Provide strategic vision to foster positive practice and game-day experiences for all student-athletes, spectators, and staff
-Oversight of recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervising student employees
-Coordinate professional contest management staff
-Oversight of ticket sales at applicable events
-Create submissions to host NCAA and other regional and national competition
-Provide host manuals to all visiting teams
-Interface with game officials, teams, coaches, administrators, Conference and NCAA representatives, and other affiliated groups with the University in preparation for home contests
-Supervision of the Athletics Equipment and Game Operations Assistant
-Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics and Recreation
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in NCAA Athletics game operations, communications, and supervisory roles of professional staff
Experience supervising student employees
Experience in a customer service capacity
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team player
Candidates must demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments
