VCUAthletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Communications area during the 2023-24 academic year.
SPECIFICRESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDE:
• Promoting and telling the stories of theVCUAthletic Department’s 17 intercollegiate programs;
• Writing features and press releases;
• Record keeping and tracking statistics;
• Working with some elements of graphic design and participating in some PA, radio, and video work;
• Assisting with any media request for coaches and student-athletes; and

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Admittance into aVCUgraduate program; and
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant atVCU.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
• Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
