Bluffton University is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual for the position of graduate assistant for women’s volleyball. This position offers the opportunity to work with a competitive NCAA Division III women’s volleyball program in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC). The candidate must have strong background in volleyball along with exquisite communication, organizational and supervisory skills with the ability to show mature and responsible leadership and work well in a team environment. The successful candidate will embrace and promote the mission of Bluffton University and be the primary assistant volleyball coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As assistant coach, assist in providing coaching leadership during trainings and during matches. Recruiting and related responsibilities (i.e. phone calls, on and off campus athletic recruiting).
Other duties might include but are not limited to the following:
The director of athletics will serve as the supervisor for secondary activities that can be added to fill out a GA’s load assignment throughout the year. Potential secondary responsibilities could be, but are not limited to, the following: facility duties, assist with event management, intramural program supervision and sports information assignments. These additional assignments are subject to qualifications and availability and will be determined by the director of athletics in consultation with respective head coaches.
Be professional in all environments whether actively leading the team or being a representative of the program.

SUPERVISION
Reports to the head volleyball coach and director of athletics
DEGREE OBTAINED:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Arts in Organizational Management (MAOM) or Master of Social Work (MSW)
COMPENSATION:
Full tuition waiver with competitive stipend, room and board.
