Under the direction of the Athletics Director, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach will be responsible for the organization and administration of an NAIA basketball program that competes in the HBCU Athletic Conference. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.
Essential Functions of Job:
Develop a successful Women’s Basketball Program.
Conduct recruitment activities in accordance with NAIA rules and regulations.
Coordinate recruitment and scholarship activities with the Athletic Director.
Establish an effective schedule for practices and games.
Prepare a budget within established guidelines.
Organize and direct the fundraising activities for the Women’s Basketball Program.
Organize and manage camps for student-athletes to ensure proper training and preparation for Women’s Basketball season.
Promote attendance at Women’s Basketball events by providing information for students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Perform other athletic administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
Successful coaching experience at the high school or college level required.
Ability to interact with students, parents, admission staff, and the public in a positive manner.
