Position Status:
Temporary Part-time, Exempt, Paid by Stipend, subject to annual review and appointment. Practice begins in September; season runs November through March. Recruitment and other related activities may extend beyond the season.

Position Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate the activities of the basketball program in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the women’s basketball team.
Responsible for recruitment of team members.
Ensure all equipment associated with the basketball program is correctly set up, maintained, stored, and returned on completion of the coaching season.
Must be willing to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
Coordinate and ensure compliance with College, conference, and NJCAA policies and regulations.
Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of the student athletes.
Monitor the expenses associated with the basketball program and make recommendations to the Athletic Director.
Schedule and arrange team travel with the assistance and approval of the Athletic Director.
Prepare game plans and strategy for intercollegiate competition.
Follow all ACC and Athletic Department policies and procedures.
Report any injuries of participants to proper school officials, filing proper injury report form.
Communicate and follow up with Athletic Director on team matters requiring approval and input.
Conduct daily practices (practice schedule varies from early morning to evening hours).
Travel with team to all games and tournaments.
Plan, schedule and coordinate pre-season trip and conditioning program.
Provide other program services as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Position Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-year experience of basketball coaching and/or playing at a high school or college level.
Demonstrated administrative and leadership qualities required.
Must possess current CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong computer skills including computer, phone, e-mail and text messaging.
