Hollins University, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), invites applications for the full-time position of Women’s Cross-Country and Track & Field Head Coach beginning immediately. This is a full-time, 11-month (August – June) position reporting to the Director of Athletics and jointly supervising the Women’s Track & Field Assistant Coach.

About the Role

Cross-country, indoor, and outdoor sport duties for the Head Coach include a commitment to exceptional coaching, as well as to the development of the holistic student-athlete experience at Hollins University. In addition to coaching responsibilities, this position will direct and facilitate recruitment for the program(s) working towards roster goals provided by the Director of Athletics. Additionally, the Head Coach will be engaged in culture and team-building within the program focusing on engagement of returning student-athletes. Other responsibilities include administration of the program, including scheduling of competitions, coordination of team travel, and budget management. The Head Coach must demonstrate a commitment to advancing Hollins’ diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging goals and working effectively with a diverse student population. This position also supports wellness initiatives, including serving as an instructor for physical education and/or well-being courses for undergraduate students.
