Head Women’s Cross-Country Coach; Assistant Women's Track & Field Coach
Under the direct supervision of the Head Women’s Cross-Country Coach, the primary function of this role is to serve as a coaching, recruiting, and administrative assistant in the Cross-Country program.
Athletics plays an important role in the life of the campus, including, but not limited to, the following: enhancing the learning experience for student-athletes, creating opportunities for uniting the campus community, publicly demonstrating the College’s values and mission, and contributing to the achievement of the College’s enrollment goals. This position will be active in supporting the College’s Mission and Vision, and will strictly adhere to
NCAA
,
CCIW
, and Institutional rules.
Essential Functions
:
Attend high school Cross-Country meets during the season.
Weekly contacts with prospective student athletes via phone and e-mail.
Update recruit database on a consistent basis.
Assist with all North Central Cross-Country visit days.
Assist in all aspects of the Cross-Country recruiting as directed by the head Cross-Country coach and, at times, assistant coaches.
Assist in development of daily practice plans and weekly meet plans as directed by the head coach and assistant coaches.
Assist with equipment inventory and other Cross-Country equipment organizational needs, which may include some team laundry.
Assist in meet management in Cross-Country as directed by head and assistant coaches.
Help monitor academic progress of all members on the team by organizing and monitoring team study table.
Other duties as assigned by the head and assistant coaches.
At a minimum, obtain
USATF
Level 1 certification at the cost of North Central Cross-Country.

Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
Valid and unencumbered driver’s license preferred.
20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks
