Position Summary
The Part-Time Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse is responsible for the leadership, organization, administration, and development of the University’s NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse program. Core Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes
1) Student-Athlete Recruitment
Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes aligned with the mission and enrollment goals of the University.
Develop and maintain relationships with club programs, high school coaches, and recruiting networks.

2) Coaching & Skill Development
Plan and conduct practices, conditioning sessions, and game preparation activities.
Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and leadership development.
Outcome:
3) Academic Support & Student Success
Monitor academic progress and support student-athlete retention and graduation success.
Promote accountability, leadership, and positive citizenship among student-athletes.
Outcome:
Student-athletes maintain satisfactory academic standing and demonstrate positive campus engagement.4) NCAA & Institutional Compliance
Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, conference, and University rules and regulations.
Complete all required compliance documentation and certifications in a timely manner.

5) Program Administration
Coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment management, and operational logistics.
Assist with budget oversight and expense management.
Outcome:
6) Game Management & Competition
Organize competition preparation, scouting, and opponent analysis.
Supervise team activities during practices, games, and team travel.
Outcome:
7) Community Engagement & Program Promotion
Promote the Women’s Lacrosse program through clinics, camps, social media, and community outreach initiatives.
Support athletic department events and institutional engagement opportunities.

8) Alumni & Fundraising Support
Assist with alumni relations and fundraising efforts supporting program growth.
Participate in departmental and institutional advancement initiatives as requested.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience in lacrosse required.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Valid driver’s license required.

Reports to: Director of Athletics
Direct Reports: Student-athletes and potential assistant coaches/graduate assistants
