The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach for the Athletics Events – Operations department.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Assists the Head Coach in the coordination of the women’s soccer program.
Assists the Head Coach in developing annual goals for the program.
Assists the Head Coach in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve a high level of success in practices and competitions.
Consult with the Head Coach on resolving situations when team discipline and/or academic issues arise.
Analyzes individual and team women’s soccer statistics, techniques etc. during recruiting trips, practices and competitions and reports results to other members of the coaching staff and the team as necessary.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver’s license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- High school or collegiate soccer coaching and playing experience.
- Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA regulations.

- Abiliy to use a computer, email, editing equipment and recruiting database software.
