Job Description:
The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach in the overall management of the Division III soccer program at MCLA.The Assistant Coach will support the head coach and other assistant coaches in planning, coaching, developing individual and team technical and tactical skill, and administering the program to meet College and department objectives.The Assistant Coach will assist with recruiting quality student-athletes, scouting opponents, and administrative duties including but not limited to: student-athlete academic monitoring; liaison between sports medicine, strength, and conditioning; budget management; eligibility, compliance, and NCAA documentation; public relations and fundraising; roster management; field preparation and maintenance; organization of practices and home games; and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
The Assistant Coach will be responsible for team and individual compliance with training rules and bylaws which govern the program; this includes monitoring student-athlete conduct to ensure the behavior of the athletes reflects favorably on the program, the department, the College, and on the students themselves.
The Assistant Coach will be a valued member of the Athletics Staff and will contribute to the mission of MCLA and the athletic department. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, the Division III ideal and the important role intercollegiate athletics plays in higher education. The Assistant Coach will conform to the highest standards of professional conduct regarding compliance with department and College policies and procedures and adherence to the rules and regulations of the NCAA and MASCAC, of which the College is a member. The Assistant Coach will contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all staff, student-athletes, and external constituents through a positive and constructive approach to all tasks, respect for the competencies of others, and appropriate conflict resolution behavior.

This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA and who have been awarded work study.
