General Summary:
The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for oversight of the Women’s Volleyball program at
Oak Hills Christian College. This responsibility includes the planning, development, and management of
the Women’s Volleyball program.

An individual in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential
functions. These examples do not include all of the duties the individual may be expected to
perform.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruit Christian student-athletes to fill the Women’s Volleyball roster
- Coach the Women’s Volleyball team in games and practices
- Develop student-athletes ’skills through instruction and practice
- Support the academic growth and success of student-athletes
- Provide all aspects of organization and management of specific teams in workouts, practices, and games
- Actively ensure and oversee the effective recruitment of student athletes in coordination with the
Admissions Department in line with the college’s mission and institutional enrollment criteria.
- Scheduling of games and practices
- Coordinating travel for the Women’s Volleyball team
- Monitoring of athlete academics

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Athletic Director in specified duties including but not limited to

• Organizing and managing camps and clinics
  
  • Organizing and managing home competitions
    
  • Promoting the team and athletic department
    
  • Planning and participating in fundraising activity and events
    
  • Recruit and supervise student workers associated with team activities
    
  • Planning and managing a strength & conditioning program for Women’s Volleyball
    
  • Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
    
  • Providing assistance to other athletic department coaches and staff when it comes to
    the recruitment of student-athletes
    

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous playing or coaching and recruiting experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and minimum qualifications:
- Have a visible passion for God
- Clear gospel-centered, evangelical Christian testimony
- Actively attends a local evangelical church
- Fully embrace the doctrinal position, mission, and values of Oak Hills and the denominational diversity
of OHCC
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the game of volleyball, and an ability to communicate that
to others
- Communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Listening skills
- Time management skills
- Must be adaptable and flexible
- Must be team oriented
- Ability to utilize computer software
- Ability to pass a background check

Working Environment:
- Regular Travel
- Irregular Hours including some weekends and holidays

Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Able to travel
- Able to lift and/or move 25 lbs.
- Able to handle stress and emotional situations
- Hold a current driver’s license
