Organizing and directing all aspects of the women’s volleyball program
Recruiting and selecting qualified student-athletes with a commitment to high academic achievement while adhering to the recruiting expectations.
Retaining student-athletes with a commitment to academic progress and graduation.
Compliance with the NCAA, Skyline Conference, and college rules and regulations.
Upholding the mission of Mount Saint Mary College and the Athletic Department.
Work closely with the Director of Athletics to develop a competitive schedule within the guidelines of NCAA and Skyline Conference legislation.
Develop a successful women’s volleyball program through proper game day preparation, practice planning, team meetings, regular communications, further developing the skills of the student-athletes, fundraising, and community service.
Work closely with the Director of Athletics and staff in the purchasing, managing and accounting for all supplies, equipment and apparel consistent with institutional purchasing procedures.
Work closely with the Athletic Department to assist in the implementation and management of summer camps and clinics.
Hiring and supervising an assistant coach
Represent the college at athletic meetings pertaining to the women’s volleyball program. This includes Skyline Conference meetings, NCAA meetings, and meetings with other conference member institutions.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics such as gameday administration, assisting in athletic purchasing of equipment and uniforms in accordance with the Department of Athletics, the Skyline Conference, the NCAA and other related associations and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Three years of coaching and recruitment experience in college setting preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism, with a high standard of personal conduct and integrity.
