The Athletics Communications office is seeking dependable, detail-oriented student workers for the Fall 2026 semester to assist with gameday operations, digital media, and live broadcasting. Under the direction of the Sports Information Director (SID), student workers play a critical role in the execution of McMurry athletic events. This position offers hands-on experience in sports media, statistics, and event operations.
Key Responsibilities: (Students will be cross-trained, but daily assignments may focus on one of the following areas)
Live Statistics: Accurately track, spot, and input live game action using NCAA Live Stat or Presto Stat software. Maintain focus on the field/court to ensure accurate real-time data for fans and distribute official statistical reports to coaches and officials at designated intervals.
Live Broadcasting & Streaming: Manage the live video stream for athletic events, including operating cameras, updating on-screen graphics (score, clock, period), and executing commercial breaks. Maintain stream quality, communicate with streaming partners (e.g., FloSports/StreamDudes) as needed.
Gameday Media (Photography & Videography): Capture comprehensive photo and video coverage of gameday, including pre-game warmups, in-game action, halftime events, and post-game celebrations. Ensure timely downloading and transfer of all digital assets to the SID office as instructed for each event. Assist with additional media projects, such as Media Day and social media graphics, as requested.
Venue Operations: Assist with essential gameday logistics, including operating facility scoreboards, managing official substitution tables (soccer), and utilizing mobile devices for fan ticketing and admission (basketball/football), and operate the venue videoboard (volleyball/basketball/softball).
Expectations & Requirements:
Reliability & Punctuality: Must arrive on time for all scheduled shifts. Consistent communication with the SID office is required, especially regarding shift coverage or scheduling changes.
Professional Focus: Gameday roles require high attention to detail.

Work Schedule
Schedule: Up to 10 hours per week. **Must be available weekends and evenings depending on athletic event schedules.**
