General Job Brief** :**
Assist the head football coach in all aspects of planning, organizing, and administering the football program in alignment with institutional, conference, and governing body regulations.
This role will also require a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities
Assists the Head Coach in the following areas:
· Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence.
· Coach and develop a specific position group, including individual skill instruction, technique development, and position-specific film evaluation.
· Contribute to game planning, practice design, scouting reports, and in-game coaching adjustments.
· Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who align with the university’s admissions standards.
· Build and maintain productive recruiting relationships with high school coaches and key recruiting territories.
· Participate in summer camps, clinics, and prospect events as assigned.
· Support game-day operations, travel responsibilities, and team logistics as directed.
· Academic accountability for student-athletes as designated.
· Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team.
· Travel considerations for competition and recruitment, requiring a valid driver’s license.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
· Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
· Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
· The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
· Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually
Education and Experience** :**
· Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred.
· Prior collegiate or professional playing experience and/or demonstrated success as a coach.
· Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.
Working Conditions** :**
· General sport environment.
· Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks.
· Meeting with student athletes as needed.
· Travel to competition and recruitment as needed.
Time Required** : **
· Standard college sport calendar for in-season and out-of-season.

This position is considered to be full-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
