Description

General Job Brief** :**

This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership and management of all aspects of the Men’s Soccer program.Â

Â

This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.

Â

Assists the Head Coach in the following areas as directed:

• Maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence
• Day-to-day operations
• Equipment inventory management
• Practice and training preparation
• Game day preparation and scheduling
• Support game day operations and logistics for home and away games
• Recruitment and ability to travel on weekends to events when necessary
• Supervise study hall and running weekly grade and class attendance checks
• Assistance in oversight and management of the club team
• Intentional Christian faith integration
• Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team
• Performs other duties as assigned

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
• Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
• Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
• The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.

Â

Education and Experience** :**

• Bachelor’s degree
• High level coaching or playing experience
• Goalkeeper training / experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University

Â

Working Conditions** :**

• General soccer environment
• Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks
• Meeting with student-athletes as needed
• Travel to competition and recruitment as needed

Â

Time Required** :Â**

Standard college soccer calendar for in-season and out-of-season

Â

This position is considered to be full-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
