Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose |
The Assistant Coach & Video Coordinator of Women’s Basketball will be responsible for assisting players with personal growth off the court and basketball skill development on the court, by supporting the analysis, development, and success of the Women’s Basketball team. Through the use of video technology, this position will complete the filming of all Women’s Basketball games and practices, and use that video to design, implement, and evaluate developmental goals for the team and its players. This position will use analytics and software to determine player and team efficiencies and development goals to improve performance.
This is a one (1) year renewable position.

| Essential Functions |
- Assist coaches with individualized player development programs (to include, but not limited to: skill development, video assessment, nutrition, goal setting).
- Analyze opponent film and collaborate with the coaches in preparation of competition strategy.
- Chart and record statistics to forecast efforts for basketball plays, student-athletes, and the team, providing advanced modeling of successful approaches to game strategy for the coaching staff.
- Create digital media for recruiting purposes, record and code videos, collect statistics, analyze data, and produce reports to prepare the women’s basketball team for competitions in the season.
- Assist with additional on and off-campus recruiting, in accordance with NCAA rules.
- Assist with community service.
- Contribute to marketing and promotion planning.
- Assist with game day management.
- Assist with camps & clinics.
- Counsel and advise members of the team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree (Two (2) years of full time experience in the same/similar position is equal to one (1) year of completed post high school education coursework).
- One (1) year of experience coaching or playing at the NCAA Division I and/or professional level.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Two (2) years of prior basketball playing or coaching experience.
- Working knowledge of iMovie, Synergy, or other digital video programs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel.
- Basic knowledge of statistics principles.
- Knowledge of basketball.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work performed in standard office or athletic venues. Requires flexibility in schedule to meet recruiting, game, and event schedules. Extensive travel is required both nationally and internationally.
Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

| Hiring Range | $68,640.00 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
