Position Function:
The Assistant Director of Finance will assist in the accounting and business operations of the Bulldog Club in the athletic department. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Finance.

Apply NowEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate accounts payable function; research and gather additional support as needed and code all invoices for recording to the general ledger.
• Coordinate moving/housing expenses with all new athletic department employees.
• Reconcile cash accounts on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile investment accounts on a quarterly basis.
• Manage and maintain accounting for courtesy car program administered through the Bulldog Club.
• Manage and maintain database of employee benefits provided by the Bulldog Club, specifically cell phone stipends, automobile stipends, and club memberships.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field with one (1) year of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Multiple years of experience in accounting/finance. Master’s degree and experience in financial reporting, budget management and procurement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge or experience in accounting
• Demonstrates ability to work with multiple software systems such as Quickbooks, Paciolan, etc.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assist in preparation of various financial reports
• Knowledge of accounts payable and practices
• Ability to manage priorities and meeting multiple deadlines
• Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
• Ability to foster a positive, cooperative work environment
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Frequent external imposed deadlines set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Occasionally requires lifting, bending, or other physical exertion. Often, it involves exposure to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dirt, chemicals, etc.
• Job frequently requires walking, standing, lifting, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
• Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see in print and/or electronically.
