This position is on site at our Cullowhee, NC campus. Under the direction of the Director of Development/Catamount Club, the Assistant Director of Development/Catamount Club will serve as a member of the Catamount Club Development team expected to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals for WCU Athletics. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:· Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of strategies related to fundraising for Western Carolina University Athletics.· Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual fund Catamount Club donors.· Serve as the lead for individual team sport specific giving efforts.· Actively work to grow the Catamount Club annual fund membership as well as special projects through on and off campus visits.· Assist in the supervision of donor parking priority and donor ticket priority.· Assist in the coordination of Catamount Club special events including the Catamount Golf Tour, Student Athlete Scholarship Banquet, Catamount Club publications, Team Reunions, and the Catamount Club phone-a-thon.· Assist in the execution of game day activities including pregame events for Football and Basketball.· Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required. This position involves local and occasional out of state travel, including necessity of frequent night and weekend work.
1 – 2 years in non-profit or athletics development is preferred.
