Key Responsibilities:
Practice Development:
Assist in planning and implementing effective practice sessions focused on skill development and strategic game play.
Player Support:
Provide skill instruction, guidance, and support during practices, games, and individual training sessions.
Performance Evaluation:
Assess player performance, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and offer constructive feedback.
Recruitment:
Collaborate with the Head Coach to recruit talented student-athletes who can contribute to our program’s success.
Team Coordination:
Help with team travel arrangements, equipment management, and other administrative tasks.
Academic Guidance:
Support student-athletes in balancing academic and athletic commitments, encouraging academic success and monitoring progress.
Team Culture:
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, respect, and integrity.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to
NAIA
rules and regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Playing Experience:
Collegiate softball playing experience, particularly in pitching, is strongly preferred.
Coaching Experience:
Experience at the high school, college, or club level is highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with
NAIA
rules and regulations is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop effective coaching strategies.
Commitment:
Dedication to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed. Ability to obtain a
CDL
driver’s license for team transport.
