Responsibilities

 

Assists the Head Coach in the management of a sports program that upholds the philosophy, mission, and objectives of the Department of Athletics. Serves as the back up to the Head Coach and would have decision making responsibilities in the absence of the Head Coach.

Assist the Head Coach with personnel including hiring and supervision of staff and volunteers and their responsibilities, budgeting, scheduling, travel, meals, recruiting, opponent scouting, practice coordinating, video analysis, FSU practice times on road and for opponents in Tully, coordination of managers for home events, purchasing of equipment, coaching, administrative duties as assigned. Giving appropriate direction to student-athletes as it related to academics, while adhering to all NCAA, ACC, Athletics Department, and University rules and regulations. Prepares all reporting forms for the program and NIKE contact. Will organize a recruiting plan for coaching staff.  Will oversee the roster management of the transfer portal.

Assists the Head Coach in determining the scope of program. Assist with establishing and implementing recruiting, academic, athletics, and community service for student-athletes. Assist with summer camp. Primary recruiting responsibilities will include domestic and international recruiting, with secondary duties as assigned. Responsible for all National Letter of Intents and initial eligibility of all incoming athletes.
