Leads the daily maintenance and game day field operations for Clemson Softball. Assists with management and maintenance of all Athletic turf and ground areas to ensure playability, player safety, and beautification. Performs other duties as assigned.
30% - Essential - Softball Grounds Management: Serves as ground's crew leader for Clemson Softball. Sets work schedules for student staff and coordinates mowing frequency and patterns. Communicates with administrators, coaches, and players, to meet their daily expectations. Manages mound and skin surface playability for safety and optimum performance of each. Mentors and educates others in the art of skin and mound care. Implements post game duties. Prepares the field for NCAA and high school competition.

25% - Essential - Field Painting: Performs the various tasks associated with painting fields.
20% - Essential - Maintenance / Equipment Operations: Assists with irrigation leaks and other maintenance, including hand-watering in times of drought, performing detail work such as edging and weed eating, and emergencies that might arise. Operates equipment associated with the maintenance of all athletic grounds, athletic fields, and the club sports/intramural fields.
15% - Essential - Golf Practice Facility Maintenance: Assists with the maintenance of the Golf practice facility.
10% - Essential - Game Day Operations: Assists with game day operations for football, soccer, and baseball. Prepares and repairs playing surface. Assists with the preparation and breakdown of grass parking lots.
Education - High School or Equivalent
Licenses - SC Private Applicator License

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Required to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
