JOB SUMMARY:

Conducts maintenance, repair and operation of assigned athletics facilities. Performs set-up and breakdown of facilities for hosting athletic and non-athletic events and competitions. Assists with football games parking set-up and breakdown and other game-day duties. Manages off-season repairs and maintenance of athletic facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Facility Repair & Remodeling: Conducts basic repair work, such as clean-up, painting, wood working, minor plumbing, and drywall repair at assigned athletic facilities.

30% - Essential - Facility Set-up & Breakdown: Assists in set-up and breakdown of athletic facilities, including transitioning various facilities from practice set up to game day set. Jervey Gym {Volleyball}, Littlejohn Coliseum {Basketball & Gymnastics}. Also includes pre-season prep work in athletic facilities-repair & touch up work in Memorial Stadium suites, seating repair in baseball, softball. Prior to each athletic season, every facility is evaluated, cleaned and repaired.

25% - Essential - Off-Season Maintenance: Performs off-season maintenance on assigned facilities, such as cleaning, painting, trash and weed removal, pressure washing, and other repairs. May manage student workers in off-season maintenance.

10% - Essential - Game-Day Operations: Assist with set-up and breakdown of all temporary game day parking lots. Responsible for numbering and signage associated with permanent parking lots for Football Game Days. Will direct student assistants through this process. Will be required to attend all home football games {7} to assist with any possible issues that may occur during the course of the day. Last minute pre-game issues and issues that may occur during the course of the game.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent
Work Exp 1+ years
Licenses - Valid driver's licenses with acceptable driving record

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - 1+ years with commercial and residential plumbing fixtures
Certifications - Plumbing certificate

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Certifications - HVAC-Certification

Experience with commercial and residential HVAC systems

Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
