Position Function:

This fellowship is designed to provide experience in all aspects of business analytics in the Department of Athletics and Bulldog Club. The objective of the fellowship is to help the individual learn all aspects of athletic business analytics, including ticketing and donation reporting, database querying, dashboard creation and CRM management. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Analytics and Business Strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain multiple athletic department dashboards across the Ticket Office, Bulldog Club, and the Athletic Business Office (ABO).
   
2. Assist in the management of the department’s CRM software for both the Ticket Office and Bulldog Club purposes.
   
3. Assist with updating and maintaining the department’s Master Data Management website.
   
4. Assist with the pricing of season and individual tickets and inventory management by analyzing historical data, market trends, and various secondary market transaction data.
   
5. Perform periodic audits on our ticketing and donation system to double check all figures and to ensure best practices are being kept through the academic year.
   
6. Assist the Assistant AD of Analytics and Business Strategy with departments as assigned.
   
7. Assist in the day-to-day operation of the athletic department’s analytics needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with analytics and digital marketing in a collegiate athletics or professional sports setting.
• Demonstrate experience in extracting, manipulating, analyzing, interpreting and documenting complex sets of data with statistical and data visualization software (SQL).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrate strong research methods, statistical, and data visualization experience.
• This position requires advanced knowledge of software systems such as Tableau, Salesforce, SQL, Paciolan, etc.
• Demonstrate ability to work with multiple data sources, including management platforms.
• Demonstrate ability to explain, advocate, and express facts and ideas in a convincing manner.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Frequent external imposed deadlines set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Occasionally requires lifting, bending, or other physical exertion. Often, it involves exposure to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dirt, chemicals, etc.
• Job frequently requires walking, standing, lifting, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
• Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
