SUMMARY
The role involves managing creative marketing, social media strategy, and video production to boost recruiting, fan
engagement, and brand identity. Responsibilities include developing multimedia content, overseeing social media
campaigns, producing game and event videos, magazine creation and content. The position emphasizes diversity,
excellence, and enhancing the university’s inclusive environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Content and Engagement for athletics: Manage all creative marketing and revenue generating
communication content for the athletic department. Create content focused on marketing division I reclassification,
increasing fan engagement, and strengthening the affinity towards Mercyhurst Athletics. Content to include
identifying, writing, and telling student-athlete stories, generating student-athlete focused content, and promoting
in-game atmosphere to help drive attendance.
Social Media Content and Campaigns: Manage all creative strategy for social accounts to improve upon
impressions across all platforms in 2024-25. Explore the establishment of emerging social media trends and
platforms for emerging target demographics. Oversee campaign development for player and team-centric
initiatives while working with the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Communications.
Video Production and Graphic Design: Create an innovative, multimedia identity while maintaining the integrity of
the brand and image of the department. Film, edit, and produce content, including home, road, and championship
events. Create, strategize, film, edit, and produce original and team specific video content for social media
accounts. Develop and manage digital and multimedia content for social media platforms. Create graphic design
templates for commitment, signed, quote, and gameday graphics.
Athletic Magazine: create content for a Division I reclassification magazine.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Preferably at the collegiate level, or a combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed around athletic schedules.
