Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno Athletics Department is recruiting for the position of Graduate Assistant - Creative Services (Video), Nevada Athletics. This position will require an understanding of Athletics and NCAA Division 1 protocols, as well as that of video production, lighting, post-production, and communication skills with external parties.
Apply NowThis position will serve as a Graduate Assistant of Creative Services (Video), in which the candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Creative Services with video needs across the athletic department. This position will be responsible for shooting and editing video content for games, athletic events, recruiting, and much more.
This position will have assigned sports that will be determined once a candidate is chosen, and will be expected to be the day-to-day liaison for those sports, while assisting the Director of Creative Services (Video) with football and basketball needs. Candidate will also assist the director serving and leading the student creative video program. The candidate must be versed in communication skills, resolution abilities, and while having a leadership mentality. Incumbent must be able to produce quality video content, even with tight deadlines
Responsibilities
Assist with the execution of a strategic plan that will maximize digital impact and position Wolf Pack Athletics as a leader across College Athletics in the use of digital communication tools
Assist with the operations for digital productions related to ICA competitions and events, including the streaming related to the department’s Mountain West Network production, as well as highlight packages, profile features and other social media and digital elements
Assist with revenue based social media strategies and the Wolf Pack's Official website
This position may play a role in the supervision of student interns and workers
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
To be eligible for an assistantship, student must be:
Candidate must have videography and video editing experience/photography experience
Candidate must have knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects
Candidate must have knowledge on Sony (Mirrorless) cameras
Candidate must be comfortable with setting up video and/or photo shoots
Candidate must be comfortable working in a Team-setting
Candidate must provide portfolio or portfolio link in application
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate has knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro and After Effects)
Candidate has experience working with DSLR and Cinema Cameras
Candidate has 2- 3 years of experience working in athletics, creative video, or any related field
