Description
General Job Brief:
Under the supervision of the Associate AD for Game Operations the position assists in the operations of game day activities and event management at ACU in assigned areas. The position may include specific oversight of digital media production and broadcasts. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Typical Duties
Coordinate and produce live video broadcasts for home athletic events using the department's streaming platforms and production equipment.
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student workers and volunteers serving in broadcast roles such as camera operators and commentators.
Direct live event productions, ensuring consistent broadcast quality, professional presentation, and adherence to conference and institutional standards.
Create and manage broadcast graphics, scorebugs, sponsor elements, and other visual assets for live streams.
Collaborate with Sports Information, Marketing and Athletics staff to ensure accurate game information, statistics, rosters, and promotional content are incorporated into broadcasts.
Assist with setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cameras, audio systems, streaming hardware, and production software.
Develop and maintain broadcast production manuals, training materials, and event checklists to support consistent operations across all sports.
Assist in the coordination of play-by-play, commentary, including student broadcasters and volunteer talent.
Archive and organize broadcast footage for future promotional, recruiting, social media, and institutional use.
Evaluate broadcast performance, including the regular tracking of viewership data, and recommend improvements to production quality, technology, and viewer experience.
Organize and execute commercials and sponsor reads for broadcasts, in coordination with the Sponsorship team.
Actively participate in regular game day operations team meetings and communication.

Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and admission into the ACU Master of Arts in Christian Leadership or Master of Arts in Education programs.
Prior experience in the collegiate athletics environment and/or sports operations.
Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.
Ability and Skills:
Strong communication and organizational skills

Time management and meeting deadlines
Collaborative with other coaches and staff
Detail oriented
Time Required:
General college sports calendar
Variety of afternoon and evening coverage for competitions
Midweek and weekend coverage for competitions
Postgame work as needed to complete event coverage (equipment clean up and organization)

This position is considered to be part-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
