Job Summary:

The Manager of Operations, Women’s Basketball manages and supports with the administrative and logistical aspects of the women’s basketball program. 

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Manages the preparation and execution of travel documents, itineraries, and travel packets.

• Ensures completion practice set up, equipment preparation, and administrative tasks related to game scheduling and execution.

• Manages calendars, submit receipts and travel paperwork, prepare files, process forms, and assists with routine business office communications.

• Coordinates on‑campus visits, prepare recruiting materials, assists with recruits’ communications and execution in collaboration with the entire staff. 

• Collects, prepares, and submits documentation required for NCAA and university processes in coordination with coaching staff and compliance personnel. 

• Monitors routine deadlines and flag issues to the coaching staff and compliance office.

• Manages the planning and execution of team events (banquets, alumni functions, donor engagement, community service), including vendor communication, timelines, and event-day logistics.

• Supports communication between the coaching staff and other university departments as directed, ensuring timely exchange of information.

• Manages the day-to-day administrative tasks of the women’s basketball office, including scheduling assistance, expense submissions, travel paperwork, membership tracking, onboarding preparations, inventory checks and equipment organization.

• Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability  

Equivalent Education/Experience

Understanding of NCAA rules and compliance requirements. Familiarity with the logistics and management of a basketball program. Basic familiarity with submitting expense documentation and following established financial procedures. Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with coaches, players, and other stakeholders. Ability to address and resolve issues that arise in a dynamic environment.  Ensuring all aspects of operations are handled meticulously. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and student-athletes.  Adjusting to changing circumstances and needs of the program.

• Experience in administrative roles, especially within a sports program.

• Previous experience in coaching or sports operations, particularly in basketball.  

• Bachelor’s Degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field.
