This position assists in providing oversight over the diverse business practices of the Division 1 Athletics’ teams, Athletics’ administrative departments, and the Student Aid Association. This position will assist in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Business Office. Core responsibilities include assisting with the management of team travel, pCard Reconciliation approvals, and day-to-day financial functions. Collaborating with the Associate Athletic Director of Business Operations and Senior Associate Athletic Director/

CFO

, to drive innovation and foster departmental collaboration for organizational success.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position

Assist in providing oversight of administrative processes, including finance, procurement, and travel

Under the direction of the Associate AD of Business Operations will assist to establish, educate, and maintain internal policies and guidelines, interprets, communicates, and ensures policies are followed

Serves as the liaison with campus administrative offices such as accounting, budgeting, & purchasing

Assist the Associate AD of Business Operations in monitoring department budgets for 50+ Athletics and Student Aid Association funds with a broad range of business activities including fundraising, specialized revenue sources, and expenditures

Authorizes budget revisions or takes other steps to ensure fiscal accuracy; performs or oversees account reconciliations

Assist in completing the Department of Education Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (

EADA

) annual report,

NCAA

membership financial reports, and

CAA

Compensation survey

Liaison with all campus partners

Reconcile all Bookstore purchases (Barnes & Noble)

Assist in approving travel card reconciliations

Assist in processing all department journal entries and budget revisions

The responsibilities of this position requires specialization and knowledge in multiple software programs in all areas of administration and business components

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

Two years of administrative management or business management experience

Considerable knowledge of university software systems – Banner, PeopleAdmin, Chrome River, uShop, etc.

Five years experience in athletics business operations.
