Job Description

The University of Nevada, Athletics is recruiting for a Specialist, Women's Basketball Player Development. The Specialist, Women’s Basketball Player Development will collaborate with the coaching staff, Director, Women’s Basketball Player Development and Manager, Women’s Basketball Operations in areas of organization, planning, and communication, social media recruitment, day-to-day promotion and public relations of the Women’s Basketball program. Incumbent analyzes pregame and post-game video breakdown, statistical analysis to assist with player development, game strategy and practice planning. The position also manages the creation of highlights for social media exposure that may include in the design and creation of digital material for alumni, boosters, prospective student-athletes and fans, on various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, & Twitter). The position manages logistics of recruit visits and management of the recruit database and board. The position will also support the coaching staff in game day preparation and post-game play. The Specialist organizes and leads student-athlete participation in community service projects. The position produces promotional videos for the purpose of recruiting, fundraising, and promotion of the Women’s Basketball program. The Specialistmay also be in involved in special internal projects that may be handed down from coaching staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.

Related Experience: college or professional basketball exposure or related
