Department of Athletics - Volleyball

Assists the Head Coach in the management of a sports program that upholds the philosophy, mission, and objectives of the Department of Athletics. Serves as the back up to the Head Coach and would have decision making responsibilities in the absence of the Head Coach.
Assist the Head Coach with personnel including hiring and supervision of staff and volunteers and their responsibilities, budgeting, scheduling, travel, meals, recruiting, opponent scouting, practice coordinating, video analysis, FSU practice times on road and for opponents in Tully, coordination of managers for home events, purchasing of equipment, coaching, administrative duties as assigned. Giving appropriate direction to student-athletes as it related to academics, while adhering to all NCAA, ACC, Athletics Department, and University rules and regulations. Prepares all reporting forms for the program and NIKE contact. Will organize a recruiting plan for coaching staff. Will oversee the roster management of the transfer portal.

Assist with summer camp. Primary recruiting responsibilities will include domestic and international recruiting, with secondary duties as assigned. Responsible for all National Letter of Intents and initial eligibility of all incoming athletes.

Develop and maintain current skills and techniques while coaching and training student-athletes. Analyze, evaluate, and edit volleyball performance using XOS Volleyball video software. Serve as instructor of record for volleyball course. Primary individual training as assigned by Head Coach.
Design academic guidelines for student-athletes within the framework of NCAA, ACC, Athletics Department, and University rules and regulations.
Develop and implement domestic and international recruiting plan.
Bachelor's degree and one year of coaching experience at the high school level or above. Successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for up to one year of the required experience.
