Responsible for daily injury assessment, care, treatment, rehabilitation, and necessary medical referral for all Swimming and Diving student athletes. Provides medical coverage for all practices, regular season, and post-season home and away meets. Responsible for daily operations of the Fauls athletic training room in the Moore and Morcom Athletic Center.
Responsible for sports medicine oversight of certified athletic training interns or graduate assistants assigned to Swimming and Diving. Also responsible for supervision of all undergraduate athletic training students assigned to Swimming and Diving.
Maintain working relationships and open communication with administration, sports medicine director, coaching staff, team physicians, and other outside healthcare professionals.
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing first year mass physicals with relevant University Health Services staff and certified athletic trainers.
Responsible for the maintenance of the FSU Sports Medicine Website, as well as all social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Responsible for appropriate documentation of student-athlete medical records in Injury Zone and ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, State of Florida, and FSU Sports Medicine policies. Will maintain professional continuing education units and professional credentialing / licensing as outlined by the NATA and State of Florida laws.
Master's degree and one year experience or a Bachelor's degree and three years experience. Must have the National Athletic Trainers Association certificate prior to hire.
