Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno Athletics department is recruiting for a Director of Compliance Services. This position is responsible for tracking and monitoring the University’s procedures for athletics scholarships, coordinating athletic conference documentation for NCAA funds and compliance paperwork and interpreting NCAA and conference rules for those individuals covered above. The position assists with the preliminary investigations for suspected NCAA and conference rules violations, tracking and monitoring recruitment and retention policy, supervising student interns, and coordinating clerical responsibilities to ensure all compliance procedures are properly documented. The Director develops the rules education program of covered individuals.

The position coordinates the foundation of rules education and program monitoring which allows the University, especially the President, to have confidence in all ICA actions pertaining to NCAA and conference rules. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Athletics Director, Intercollegiate Services.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related experience OR;

Master’s degree and one(1) year of related experience 

Related experience: research administration, policy review/interpretation, report preparation and/or athletics compliance or related.

Compensation Grade

The budgeted salary range for this position is $54,000-$57,000.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
