The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.
The individual will be responsible for conducting ad hoc budget analysis for specific units in the Athletic Department for decision- making purposes. They will oversee all bids and proposals (RFPs) for contract agreements and work with university Purchasing department to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The individual will also assist with updating athletic department guidelines, and lead training efforts for each sport and support unit. They will be expected to identify, review, and make recommendations for process improvements and ways to streamline operation. The individual must be highly organized and detailed-oriented, demonstrate an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent customer service skills.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Prepares and analyzes statistical and financial reports, financial statements and supporting documentation for select units in the Athletic Department.
Oversee and prepare correspondence and reports, identifying issues and presenting recommendations to management on a variety of budgetary, administrative, and fiscal funding issues; review correspondence prepared by other Analysts and staff.
Develop recommendations on the allocation of resources based on analyses; make recommendations for more effective and efficient processes.
Prepares, develops and monitors department and unit budgets. Develop performance indicators to monitor and support program initiatives,
Monitor project specific needs and operational development based on recomendations for positive fiscal growth; determine whether performance is acceptable and identify opportunities for improvement; ensure all data is reliable, accurate, and relevant.
Designs, develops, andconducts special studies in budgeting andcost studies.
Develop and present objective analyses, observations, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to supervisors and departmental leadership via written reports or oral presentations
Serves as liaison with other functional areas and departments.
Analyze the financial impacts of business decisions and develop fiscal impact statements.
Oversee, organize, coordinate training programs working with units within department to achieve goals and objects in financial planning.
Supervise, plan, organize, and evaluate the work of assigned employees; provide guidance, and review the work of other Analysts and staff.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Athletic Department staff, administrators, and external partners

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines
Ability to lead and facilitate group meetings
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,), Adobe Suite programs and other relevant software required)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience working in collegiate athletic organizations.
Experience in developing, managing, and adhering to budgets.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
