The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
Assists with Game Operations/Facilities of Athletic Department.
Coordinates the set-up, operation, and breakdown of the department’s events
Work closely with internal and external constituencies to coordinate home athletics contests
Contact visiting college, universities and officials to assist with their travel
Serve as primary game day and practice operations contact of sports as assigned by Associate Athletic Director – Assist with all other sports
Scheduling of athletic facilities as assigned
Oversee all Apprentice and Intern assigned to Game Operations and Facilities Department.
Oversee assigned Facility maintenance projects
Work within budget on each project and make decisions based on financials
*Create and revise policies and procedures associated with each assigned facility
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Knowledge in areas involving event management, athletics operations, travel coordination, and facility management.
Skills requirements include: communication skills, organization, problem-solving, team collaboration, and leadership.
Abilities required for the position include: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and last-minute adjustments during events or facility maintenance projects. Time management abilities to ensure that tasks are prioritized and deadlines are being met.
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
