  Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities

Assists the Head Coach in the following areas

·       Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence.

·       Recruitment and roster management

·       Practice and training preparation

·       Academic accountability

·       Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team.

·       Travel considerations for competition and recruitment, requiring a valid driver’s license.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

·       Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.

·       Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.

·       Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.

·       The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.

·       Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.

Education and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree and admission into the ACU Graduate program.

·      Prior collegiate or professional playing experience and/or demonstrated success as a coach.

·      Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.

Working Conditions

·      General sport environment.

·      Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks.

·      Meeting with student-athletes as needed.

·      Travel to competition and recruitment as needed. 

Time Required

Standard college sport calendar for in-season and out-of-season.

This position is considered to be part-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state law.
